What's your name? Pang
Do you have a blog or shop? Indeedy! Pretty Little Fings on Etsy is the name, superfantastic plush creatures are the game. I also blog and post my photos at the PrettyLittleFings blog.
Who is your friend? J.R.
Tell us a little bit about your friendship: J and I met several years ago, but didn't really get to know each other until 3 years ago. wink. wink. My favorite thing about him is his sense of humor. We love to be goofy together and make random rhyming jingles. We should actually go into the commercial business!
[EDITOR'S NOTE: These two are another set of cutie-patootie lovebirds!]
J.R.'s current obsession is Dexter. Enough said.
Plaid shirts are a must-have in our household. We could go a week wearing plaid. This vintage Western style flannel will be perfect since it's already soft and worn in.
I just think this is so unique! He always wears a belt and sometimes the buckle breaks. He could use this as a back up and build something off of it!
J's a big fan of Berkley Illustrations and I think this one would make him laugh.
J.R. gets a merit badge for growing a pretty gnarly beard.
I'm not good with presents at all, so for most occasions, I would get him a t-shirt. This is a definite must have! A real man can grown him a handsome beard.
This fuses J's love of Star Wars and our cute Boston, Remy.
Thank you, Pang(aroo)!

Jamie & Leigh
What's your name? Leigh
Who is your friend? Jamie
Tell us a little bit about your friendship: We met through friends. She stole my heart. My favorite thing is that she's quirky as all hell. We like to go on adventures together.
[EDITOR'S NOTE: They are very, very cute!]
She's a fan of recycled decor and jewelry and who doesn't love the Shondells?
She would like it because it's modern and intricate. She's constantly looking for more necklaces to add to her collection.
After stopping into the Hatch Print Show store in Nashville, she's been slightly obsessed with letterpress event posters.
If it looks like it's made out of parts from heavy machinery, she'll love it.
She likes a good t-shirt and she used to study brains.
I think she would like the tufting on this.
Thanks, Leigh!

Crystal & Nicole
What's your name? Nicole
Do you have a blog or shop? Yes! I've started up an Etsy shop called Fancy Bolts.
Who is your friend? Crystal
Tell us a little bit about your friendship: We met the first week of college. Eeks! That was almost a decade ago! We became attached at the hip and were often referred to as 'double trouble'.
Crystal has a thing for shoes, also for the color green (and turquoise) and for as long as I've known her she has wanted espadrilles that tie up at the ankle. But since she never wears heels, these are much better. Especially since they're vegan and have some eco-friendly properties.
Generally, if there is a pair of earrings I love, Crystal loves them too. These are just too awesome. There might be an earring thing to go along with the thing for shoes.
Crystal is busy at work. People need to not talk to her. Not that she would be allowed to tune everyone one out, but if she could this would be the cutest way to do it. Might also be good for the bike rides that need to be taken.
This is not exactly buyable but it is cute. And Crystal has a stock pile somewhere of weird packages and materials from shipping boxes at work. They need to be used in some fashion similar to this.
These are hott! And I know you like thigh-highs, Crystal! Yes, I know you too well!
Awesome, cute, and recycled. Is anything more really needed?
Thank you, Nicole. :-)

Crystal likes it when I pick out clothes for her! Crystal - you would pull off this skirt so well even though you don't wear them too much. Perfect shape and good colors for you. It even has a nice funky top part to it. Hello summer cuteness!Thank you, Nicole. :-)

Schelli & Em
This list is an homage to Butch Month, so dubbed by some of the hottest butches on Twitter. Check out their tweets by searching #butchmonth.
----------
What's your name? Em
Who is your friend? Schelli
Tell us a little bit about your friendship: We met several years ago at a DC bar and it was butch love at first sight! Schelli is preppy, fun and has been an excellent mentor for me. I learned to accept myself in seeing how comfortable Schelli was in her skin.
A perfect addition to her vintage propaganda sign collection.
If there is two things I would always say describe my friendship with Schelli they would be preppy and humorous. We laugh. A lot. And we're forever bonded over madras and gingham. So what better than a gingham hankie with a Tom Selleck mustache?
A master at finding retro awesome, these cuff links are classy and classical. Schelli is debonair-extraordinaire and these cuff links are perfect!
When I met Schelli I did not have butch pride. In fact, I wouldn't even identify as butch because my college environment had drilled into me that butch was "wrong". Schelli gave me the opportunity and confidence to be ok with myself as an effeminate butch guy. So for the person who helped me fit into myself and my identity, a little button to say thanks.
Like me, Schelli is geeky. So what better way for her to express love to her partner than with robots?
Thanks, Em!

Sartorial Butch & Bee
This list is an homage to Butch Month, so dubbed by some of the hottest butches on Twitter. Check out their tweets by searching #butchmonth.
----------
What's your name? Bee
Do you have a blog or shop? Yup, Bee Listy Kvetches.
Who is your friend? Sartorial Butch (SB)
Does your friend have a blog or shop? Yes! SB blogs at Sartorial Butch.
Tell us a little bit about your friendship: SB & I met via a mutual friend. The mutual friend kept telling me that we were the same person, so we started chatting and alas, we have a lot in common.
This is a glorious t-shirt featuring Morrissey in glasses. One of the many things that SB and I have in common is our deep, deep love for Morrissey. I think the SB would rock this t-shirt with a pair of Lucky jeans and some black boots.
The Sartorial Butch is able to rock bow ties-- and I think she'd really be able to put these vintage bow ties a good home. I think she would really work it out, maybe with a nice seersucker suit? I can picture her wearing one of them and enjoying a cocktail, all Gatsby like.
The Sartorial Butch is a Yankees fan-- why not marry her love of cufflinks with her love of Yankees baseball? Fantastic.
At the risk of being super lesmo, I actually own a pretty rainbow Star of David suncatcher. And I think SB should too.
We have a shared love of grammar and sexy accessories, and a shared love of the oft forgotten punctuation symbol, the interrobang. This is one of my favorite Etsy shops, and I think SB would really enjoy any of these items.
Thank you, Bee!

Beatrice & Violet
What's your name? Violet
Who is your friend? Beatrice
Does your friend have a blog or shop? Violet and Beatrice blog together at the well known and loved site EtsyStalker.com!
Tell us a little bit about your friendship: Beatrice and I met when our now ten year old daughters were in preschool together. We lost touch when they went off to different elementary schools, but re-connected through Facebook. Bea is a fantastic friend; she's smart, wonderfully irreverent, and a fantastic friend. We are in touch all day long via emails and texts and her friendship is what makes working on Etsy Stalker so much fun!
What handmade delights did you choose for Beatrice?
Beatrice loves labradorite . And earrings! So what could be better than labradorite earrings!
She has a bit of a thing for Abraham Lincoln and I think this art book locket would be perfect for her.
I am envious of Bea's sense of style. She always knows just how to put outfits together and she loves to layer things. I think this felted merino wrap jacket would look great on her.
And this because, hello? Hilarious! (But she must never visit that shop because it's full of doll pieces and those freak her out.)
Really, any of the snarky cards in this shop would do!
Thank you, Violet!

John & Meaghan
What's your name? It's me, again! [Just a note, I've created many lists of my own, so I'm posting them now to drum up interest!]
Who is your friend? He is my friend, and my brother! John!
Does your friend have a blog or shop? He will blog, on occasion, about style and design at LOOK AWAY NOW PLEASE.
Tell us a little bit about your friendship: Well, we met a long time ago. Like, when he was born. Though my indifference towards him lingered for years and years, we wound up turning into really great friends once we both made it through the tangled mess of puberty. We're just made for each other, in so many ways, but mostly because it's hard out here for gay ginger kids and we've got each other to lean on, through thick and thin. I love my baby bruva!
What handmade delights did you choose for John?
Though his aesthetic leans towards the slightly modern and hip, I know that John would appreciate a gesture to his roots and past. This rug, which is essentially a hand-crocheted oversized doily, would remind him of our grandma, Nanny. And it doesn't scream "old fashioned" too loudly, now does it?
Thanks, me!

What handmade delights did you choose for John?
My brother is an actor/singer/dancer. A triple-threat, if you will. And, there was a period of time in which Broadway and theater when from pensive and artsy to full out, glittery, twinkle-toes camp. Though I've never taken the time to brush up on my theater history, I do believe that Marcel Marceau was a way-paver and a visionary. His movement, his aesthetic, his faces and emotions are all things that I can attribute to the softer side of my brother, and I think that he would appreciate this vintage advertisement as an enduring tribute to his soul-craft for years and years.
But, like I said, there is a component of flashy theatrics that can never be disentangled from my brother (his technique or his aesthetic), and his obsession with Studio 54 lingers. As does his deep, unrelenting love for Grace Jones.
My parents were A Cocktail After Work kinds of people, and while I have not been able to incorporate that ritual into my daily life (I am lazy), my brother is very pro-cocktail. I think that once he settles and gets his dream bar set up, these will be a nice vintage accessory to his G&Ts.
Though he hasn't necessarily changed much over the years, my brother is also constantly evolving. I thought this incredible letterpress print would be a silly and irreverent homage to his gemini-within and an homage to his adorable spasticness. He'll kill me for that.
John spent a summer in Long Island performing at one of their revered summer playhouses and one of the actors he worked with put together and absolutely ridiculous and hilariously absurd "tour" of the historic Gateway grounds...with a bottle of Mrs. Butterworth's as the host. He played the video for me one year at Christmas and it continues to be a source of cackles and groans whenever we're together.
Croc Monsieur print by TEASE Made - £25.00 (~$38.45)
If I haven't yet conveyed to you that John can't always be taken seriously, then this will solidify it. A silly, vintage-inspired giclee print that serves as a reptilian reworking of a delicious French ham sandwich.
Thanks, me!

Ann & Rachel
What's your name? Rachel
Who is your friend? Ann
Does your friend have a blog or shop? Yes, SpiderWings @ Etsy.
Tell us a little bit about your friendship: I have known Ann for more than a decade, but I think less than two. I love her enough that she and a mild climate were enough to lure me 3,000 miles from all I had ever known. We share a love of road trips, and humor that is as silly as it is surreal and/or scatalogical. Also, mossy corners and invertebrates.
What handmade delights did you choose for Ann?
In addition to its being somewhat silly and involving sea life, I really want to make my stamp on the Musee de Koi, which is Ann's own tiny gallery. She really deserves to have a giant one in a downtown store front in a receptive city, but this one goes with her wherever she goes.
Ann loves to use the forms of nature, especially sea life, in her art. She keeps a number of antique books of nature engravings around for reference, and I think this would be a great addition to her collection.
Nobody puts together a costume quite like my BFF, and I would love to see what she could do with a mint condition piece of dark froufrou like this.
Just trust me when I say, nobody could decorate with carcasses quite like Ann. I can see her lounging on this in some black Victorian meets neon '80s getup, receiving guests with a rare vodka cocktail in one hand, and a suspicious Japanese snack in the other.
Did I mention costumes? Because costumes.
I think she might already have one of these, now that I think about it. So clearly that's a winner. (Spiders are a theme she returns to often.)
Nobody, but nobody, I know loves "Sparklemas" like Ann.
Thanks, Rachel!
